The Populous design for Kardinia Park Stage 5, will secure the venue status as Australia’s best regional stadium, increasing overall capacity to over 40,000.
The sectional model was created as a centre piece for the design team’s studio. Providing a scene, so the viewer can experience the athlete and fan perspectives, explaining perfectly how they draw people together with a unique stadium experience.
The model used laser cutting, 3D printing and CNC milling tehcniques to create components of the model that were manually assembled piece by piece.
